High Efficiency Electric Water Heaters
Save Home Heat carries electric water heaters for applications where a gas fired system is not feasible, or where an electric product is desired
Traditional electric tank type water heaters are reliable, low maintenance, easy to install, and eliminate safety concerns associated with gas combustion. If your home has a significant photovoltaic (PV) array, an electric tank may have cost savings advantages. Be aware that electric water heaters take longer to heat up than most gas heaters. Our team would be glad to assist you in sizing and choosing an electric water heater that makes the most sense for you and your home.
For any electrical circuit upgrades that might be required to make sure your new water installation meets current code, and to assure your safety, we have a Master Electrician on staff to assist with any high voltage requirements associated with your job.
Heat Pump Water Heaters
Relatively new to the market, and steadily gaining momentum, are electric water heaters that incorporate heat pump technology. Efficiency ratings are very high on these products – in the 3.5 to 3.7 UEF range for some models – representing another big step in the direction of decreasing dependence on burning fossil fuels at home.
Self-contained hybrid electric water heaters, with the heat pump contained within the heater indoors (employing special venting products), as well as split-system heat pump water heaters featuring an outdoor condensing unit and an indirect-fired water heater indoors, are the leading design options currently available. Point-of-Use Water Heaters
In addition to electric tank type water heaters, Save Home Heat also installs point-of-use (under sink) electric on-demand water heaters for a variety of locations such as sinks located far from the mechanical room, and other special applications.
